The hands are ebony with brass inlay, the frame is snakewood with the balance weights turned out of coromandel, pilars of padoek and many parts are pallisander.
Pallets have POM bushings, making them virtually silent.
Face is milled out of brass, and sprayed, while masking indices.

Christoffel also added a power retaining mechanism, which allows him to wind the clock without it slowing/stopping.
