CLOCK
Secundus

Achim managed to build his clock so well that it only needs 2.1 Kgs (3 Kgs are recommended)

In fact he enjoyed the first build so much, he is starting on his second Secundus.

Which goes to show, once you start with clock making, the biggest question is where to put them all.

CLOCK
Quintus

A totally different approach, this is the first clock of mine to be built in Perspex.

And after the initial shock, I must admit I really like it.

It does look like a different clock.

CLOCK
Tertius

Chris made the Tertius for his parents wedding anniversary.
His father was a plumber, hence the chrome plated copper pipes as pillars, and his mother was a music teacher, therefore the notes in the frame.

What a great idea.

He also wrote "Best of all, I really enjoyed making it, the frustrating bits too when it just would not run right at first!", a man after my own heart.

CLOCK
Primus
Secundus
Tertius

Fernando has not only built the Primus 3 times, but has also given each a different look, and added a second hand. PHEW!

He has also built the Secundus and given it a whole new slant with his use of black and white.

For his Tertius he replaced the metal pillars for wood.

CLOCK
Secundus

With his use of different materials Ap has managed to draw  attention to the 3 major elements of the Secundus, hands, frame and cogs.

Despite the contrasts, his Secundus is still harmonious.

CLOCK
Primus

Ivo has made his arbors from wood and to reduce friction he has added plastic bushes, his drive arbor is made from carbon.

But most importantly his wife loves the new clock, what more could you ask? :-)

CLOCK
Quartus

Geoff has modified the original design to enable the pendulum to swing at the back of the clock, and as you can see he had to modify the frame in order to give the pendulum enough clearance.

It is a really good idea, and just goes to show what can be achieved with time and effort.
